This Android device was unable to access Medscape Content.
This is likely the result of Ad-Blocking software that is (or was) installed on your device. Please follow the instructions below to use Medscape in conjunction with Ad-Blocking software:
- Using Medscape with AdAway
- Using Medscape with AdFree
- Help! I've uninstalled my Ad-Blocking Software but still cannot access Medscape.

Using Medscape with AdAway
- Good news: Ad Away has a “whitelist” feature that will allow you to use Medscape without disabling your ad-blocker!
- To configure a network exception for Medscape, first open Ad Away’s whitelist feature by tapping Your Lists >> Whitelist
- Tap the + icon to add a new exception.
- Type *.medscape.com
- Save the exception.
- Re-apply Ad Away by clicking the “Download files and apply ad blocking” button.
- Re-open Medscape and hit Retry.
- If you have problems, please contact our support team anytime by email at MedscapeMobileSupport@webmd.net

- Using Medscape with AdFree
- Unlike Ad Away, Ad Free does not have a “whitelist” feature, so you’ll need to temporarily disable Ad Free each time Medscape checks for content updates. To do so, please perform the following steps:
- Open the Ad Free app.
- Click ‘Revert’, and Ad Free’s ad-blocking functionality will be temporarily disabled.
- Switch back to Medscape and let the application check for content updates.
- If you decide to accept an available content update, wait for Medscape to download and install the update.
- When the content update is complete, you can switch back to Ad Free and resume blocking ads.
- Consider switching to Ad Away or other Ad-Blocking Software that provides “whitelist” functionality.
- If you have problems, please contact our support team anytime by email at MedscapeMobileSupport@webmd.net

- Help! I've uninstalled my Ad-Blocking Software but still cannot access Medscape.
- This commonly occurs because the effects of most Ad-Blocking Systems persist even if you uninstall the Ad-Blocker app itself. In order to reverse these effects, please perform the following steps:
- Re-download / Re-install the Ad-Blocking software. (Yes, this is necessary)
- Once installed, open the Ad-Blocking app and tap its “Revert” button.
- The effects of the Ad-Blocking Software are now reversed – you should be able to use Medscape and if desired, uninstall the Ad-Blocking App.
